Large Mamluk copper basin finely etched and inlaid with Arabic Calligraphy and floral designs.
 
Very fine Mughal metalwork etched design copper basin carved with Arabic calligraphy and ornate design.
 
Could be used as a jardinière for a large orchids composition.
 
With rounded base and sloping inverted sides leading to a thickened rim, the shoulder engraved with inscription cartouches alternating with fine arabesque interlace cartouches divided by scrolling arabesque roundels, with panels of stylized engraved Thuluth calligraphy Islamic inscriptions, a band of dense plaited designs above and below.
